1. Agreement
These Terms are between you and PlayMinima (Quebec, Canada), the publisher of TuckTuck. By downloading, opening, or using TuckTuck you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the game.
2. Eligibility
TuckTuck is rated 16+. You must be at least 16 years old to use it. If you are not, you may not create an account, and we will delete any account we learn belongs to someone younger.
3. Your account
- You may start playing as a guest. A guest account still belongs to you and holds your progress on that device.
- You may link a permanent Google or email account. If you sign in to a permanent account that already exists, you switch to that account: the guest account’s wallet and inventory are discarded so progress cannot be farmed across throwaway accounts. Drafts held on your device are preserved.
- A permanent account is required before making a real-money purchase.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, rent, or transfer your account.
4. Content you post
You keep ownership of the covers, captions, and comments you create. You grant PlayMinima a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content inside TuckTuck and in material promoting the game, for as long as you keep it posted. Delete the content or your account and that licence ends, except for copies we are legally required to keep and for material already distributed.
You are responsible for what you post. It must be yours to post, and it must follow our Community Guidelines, which form part of these Terms.
The garments, accessories, backgrounds, artwork, and other assets we supply inside the game remain the property of PlayMinima or its licensors. Your licence to use them is limited to playing TuckTuck.
5. Fair play
You agree not to:
- modify, reverse engineer, or tamper with the app, or use an unofficial client;
- automate play, manipulate voting, or coordinate votes to influence brief results;
- create multiple accounts to farm rewards or evade a block;
- probe, scrape, overload, or interfere with our servers;
- use the game to harass another player or to break the law.
6. Virtual items and currency
- Coins and gems are a limited, revocable, non-transferable licence to use features inside TuckTuck. They are not your property, not legal tender, and have no cash value.
- Coins are earned through play. Gems may also be purchased once real-money purchases are enabled.
- New accounts receive a starter balance of 1,000 coins and 10 gems.
- Virtual items cannot be exchanged for money or transferred outside the game, and any unused balance is forfeited when your account is deleted or blocked.
- We may adjust prices, rewards, and the availability of items as we tune the game.
7. Purchases and refunds
Real-money purchases are made through Google Play, which is the seller of record and displays the final localised price. Google’s payment terms and refund policy apply to the transaction.
When a refund is issued, we review it individually. A reviewer may deduct the gems that were granted by the refunded purchase, never taking your balance below zero. If those gems were already spent, the account is flagged for review. Repeated abuse of refunds may lead to a separate human decision to block the account permanently.
8. Briefs, voting, and rewards
Briefs open and close on a schedule. After submissions close, voting runs for 24 hours and results are finalised without waiting for a minimum number of votes. Covers are ranked on a confidence-adjusted win rate, at most one cover per player can take a podium place, and the top three receive 100%, 60%, and 35% of the brief’s configured reward. Results are final once a brief is complete.
9. Moderation and enforcement
A person reviews reported content. Following that review we may take no action, remove the reported content, or block the account permanently. There are no temporary suspensions and no automatic strike system. If your account is blocked and you believe it was a mistake, you may appeal using the support contact below; a moderator can restore an account.
10. Ending your use
You may stop playing at any time and delete your account and content — see Account & Data Deletion. We may block or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or the Community Guidelines, or if we are required to by law.
11. Availability and changes to the game
TuckTuck is an evolving live service. We may add, change, or remove features, briefs, items, and events, and we may take the service down for maintenance. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may discontinue it, in which case we will give reasonable notice in the game where we can.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TuckTuck is provided “as is”. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under Quebec consumer protection law or other laws that cannot be waived by agreement, including any statutory warranty. Subject to that, PlayMinima is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD 50.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, and the courts of the judicial district of [judicial district — to be confirmed] have jurisdiction, without limiting any right you have to bring proceedings where the law entitles you to.
14. Changes to these Terms
We will update the date at the top of this page when these Terms change and, for material changes, give notice in the game before they take effect. Continuing to play after that means you accept the updated Terms.
